Deep Root Feeding – We recommend deep root feeding in the spring and fall to help your trees reach their full potential. This method of feeding involves burying a pipe near the roots of your tree. Through the pipe, an environmentally safe, non-toxic mix of optimized liquid nutrients is supplied to the tree, keeping the feeding solution away from children and pets by guiding it precisely where it is needed.

Soil Injections – Soil injections are another way to target treatments to your tree, rather than spreading them across your property. In this case, we use pesticides to protect your trees from insects and disease, injecting them directly into the soil near the base. This option is a last resort only used when needed as it is not the most environmentally-friendly choice.

Trunk Injections – We use trunk injections for Emerald Ash Borers in Chester County. This approach involves injecting pesticides directly into the trunk of an infected tree to control infestations and prevent damage.

Emerald Ash Borer Treatment – When it comes to Emerald Ash Borers, we take a two-pronged approach. We strive to detect infestations early on through regular property inspections, which gives us time to save your ash tree through targeted trunk injections.

Spotted Lanternfly Treatment – Spotted lanternflies are swarming insects that feed on oaks, willows, maples, pines, birch trees, cherry trees, apple trees, and their favorite, ailanthus trees. For fast results, our spotted lanternfly treatment injects pesticides directly into the trunk.

Growth Regulation – Growth regulators are a perfect option if you want to enjoy trees in your yard, but don’t want to deal with the pruning and upkeep. They not only delay the natural growth of trees, but they also help them to be healthier. These treatments are injected into the soil and can be used to heal trees that have been damaged at the root, either by lawn mowers or industrial vehicles.

About Us

Rick’s Plant Health Care was founded by John Rogalsky, a Certified Arborist and Applicator. The business started as a division of Rick’s Tree Service, but then Rick sold the division to John, who now runs it as a separate company. When John isn’t out in the field providing arborist services, he stays current on the latest tree care research so he can offer clients in Chester County cutting-edge treatment options.
